MODAVIS reuse learning kit · 9 October 2026

This is a teaching kit, not the Cuntz dataset and not a complete standard distribution.
The unmodified vao-workspace/ fixture is from VAO Standard 0.5.0. Its IDs, evidence
note, profiles and descriptor pins are retained so it can be validated as supplied.
The generic learning-instrument.ttl adapts released MODAVIS terms. It does not make
a claim about the real Cuntz instrument. invalid-self-representation.ttl is deliberately
incorrect. verify-graph.py loads local release graphs without remote imports.

Teaching changes: two generic identity resources and a deliberately cyclic variant;
an exchange-validation helper and a representation query. Preserve attribution when
adapting these fixtures. Use the source release's per-file licensing for its software.

In the VAO 0.5.0 release root, after installing requirements-lock.txt:
python Tools/vao05.py validate /path/to/modavis-learning-kit/vao-workspace
python Tools/vao05.py pack /path/to/modavis-learning-kit/vao-workspace /path/to/new/learning.vao
python Tools/vao05.py validate /path/to/new/learning.vao

In the ontology 0.1.0 source/ root, after installing requirements-dev.txt:
python /path/to/modavis-learning-kit/verify-graph.py --release . --data /path/to/modavis-learning-kit/learning-instrument.ttl
python /path/to/modavis-learning-kit/verify-graph.py --release . --data /path/to/modavis-learning-kit/invalid-self-representation.ttl
The first graph should conform. The second should fail with a representation-cycle
message and exit code 1. No publication or remote changes are performed.
